Educational Requirements and Experience
Academic qualifications are set separately for each post, and the two teaching positions carry the most detailed conditions.
Associate Professor (Grade 4)
A PhD degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant subject.
A Bachelor's (Honours) degree and a Master's degree from a recognized university.
Practical teaching and research experience at a university or another higher education institution.

Lecturer (Grade 9)
A four-year Bachelor's (Honours) degree and a Master's degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
At least a first class or a CGPA of 3.60 out of 4.00, or an equivalent result, in both examinations.
At least a first division or a GPA of 4.25 out of 5.00 in both the SSC and HSC examinations.

Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates are paid according to the National Pay Scale 2015. Depending on the post, the monthly salary ranges from Tk 20,000 to Tk 148,800, covering Grade 3 to Grade 20. The highest grades advertised are Grade 3 posts such as Registrar, Controller of Examinations and Director, while the support posts in Grade 18 to Grade 20 start at Tk 20,000. In addition to the basic pay, appointees receive the other allowances and benefits admissible under the rules of the university.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for applicants is between 32 and 50 years, depending on the post.
Registrar, Controller of Examinations and the Director posts (Grade 3): not above 50 years.
Deputy Registrar (Grade 5): not above 45 years.
Assistant Registrar (Grade 7): not above 40 years.

Selection Process
