The Program Officer will lead awareness, knowledge-exchange, crowd-innovation, and public engagement activities while ensuring the meaningful inclusion of women, informal waste workers, marginalized groups, and relevant stakeholders.
Program Officer Responsibilities
Develop and implement campaign and communication plans under WP1.
Coordinate knowledge-exchange and awareness-raising campaigns.
Organize crowd-innovation and community engagement campaigns.
Develop campaign messages and materials on plastic pollution, waste reduction, recycling, reuse, and sustainable consumption.
Engage communities, youth, women, informal waste workers, tourism businesses, local government, and private-sector stakeholders.
Facilitate stakeholder consultations and participatory events.
Promote women’s leadership and participation in project activities.
Support the formation or strengthening of waste-worker platforms and inclusive stakeholder networks.
Ensure meaningful participation of marginalized groups in project planning and implementation.
