Position: Chinese–English Interpreter Job Type: Full-time / As per company requirement Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience Key Responsibilities • Provide consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation between Mandarin/Cantonese Chinese and English in meetings, conferences, and events. • Translate written documents, reports, emails, and correspondence accurately within deadlines. • Maintain strict confidentiality of all interpreted and translated content. • Ensure proper cultural context is conveyed during interpretation sessions. • Prepare terminology glossaries and reference materials for recurring subject areas. • Coordinate with clients and internal teams to clarify the scope and context of interpretation needs. • Support remote interpretation sessions via video conferencing platforms when required. Requirements • 1–3 years of professional experience in Chinese–English interpretation or translation. • Native or near-native proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese, Simplified/Traditional, and English. • Cantonese proficiency is a plus. • Strong listening, memory, and note-taking skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. • Familiarity with industry-specific terminology such as legal, medical, business, or technical is preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in linguistics, translation, international relations, or a related field is preferred. • Professional certification, such as ATA, CCHI, or equivalent, is an advantage.
