Vision & Mission Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) is the national authority with responsibility of the accreditation in Bangladesh. It offers accreditation programs for various types of conformity assessment bodies, such as laboratories, certification bodies, inspection bodies, training institutions or persons in accordance with the relevant International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Electro technical Commission (IEC), and other regulatory standards and national standards. BAB is the statutory body established in 2006 as an autonomous organization responsible for upgrading the quality assurance infrastructure and conformity assessment procedures in Bangladesh and enhancing the recognition and acceptance of products and services in international, regional and domestic markets. Our Vision: To establish as competent and trusted accreditation body in the Asia Pacific region. Our Missions: Maintains APLAC/ILAC MRA status in compliance with international norms and assists in the overall development of Bangladesh by trade facilitation, delivering confidence and protection of public interest through quality accreditation services. Strategic Objectives: Establish a national accreditation system harmonized to international best practice by adopting relevant international standards and following procedures recommended by ILAC, APLAC, PAC, and IAF. All policies, rules, and criteria will be developed to this end. Develop awareness campaigns within Bangladesh among all interested parties and stakeholders. Encourage upgrading of conformity assessment activities through training programs, seminars, workshops and the like. Ensure that all stakeholders are given a fair voice in accreditation policy development.
