The Bangladesh National Information Window (www.bangladesh.gov.bd) is a large government digital portal launched in June to make public services easily accessible online. It integrates around 25,000 government websites into a single platform, aiming to provide a “one-stop service” for citizens. The portal offers information on agriculture, education, health, law, tourism, government services, forms, citizen charters, directories of officials, and more. It also includes data from union to national levels and is used by millions of users daily. The Access to Information (A2I) program developed and implemented the project, with over 50,000 government officials trained to manage content. The portal is also available in English to reach international users. However, there are inconsistencies between the Bangla and English versions regarding the number and status of websites (completed vs. beta version), indicating some information mismatch that needs improvement. Overall, it is a significant step toward digital governance and improving public access to government services in Bangladesh.
