Duty Station • District Hospital • Upazila Health Complex • UH&FWC • Locations in Rangamati and Bandarban Educational Requirements • Diploma in Midwifery (3 years) or • Junior Midwifery (18 months) from a recognized institution Professional Registration • Must be registered with the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC) Experience Requirements • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a clinic or MNCH project Job Responsibilities • Play a critical role in improving the quality, accessibility, and utilization of maternal and newborn health services • Provide quality midwifery care across district, upazila, and union-level health facilities • Support safe motherhood and effective newborn care services • Ensure the continuum of care at all service delivery levels • Contribute to both direct service delivery and health system strengthening • Support antenatal, delivery, postnatal, and newborn care services as required • Promote respectful maternity care and adherence to national standards and protocols • Coordinate with facility staff and project teams to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes Preferred Competencies • Strong commitment to maternal and newborn care • Good communication and counseling skills • Ability to work in remote or underserved settings • Strong teamwork and coordination capacity • Willingness to support community-focused and facility-based services
