Examination Stages

Written and oral examinations will be held for all the posts in this recruitment, but the stages differ according to the nature of the post, as described below.

No TA or DA will be paid to candidates for taking part in the written, practical or oral examination.

Who Should Apply for These Positions

The post of Stenographer cum Computer Operator, with 11 vacancies, and the post of Office Assistant cum Computer Typist, with 10 vacancies, are the two largest openings in the notice. How to Apply

Applications must be submitted online through the Teletalk portal. The steps are given below.

• Enter the website at taxnar.teletalk.com.bd and fill in the application form.

• Scan and upload a recently taken colour photograph measuring 300 x 300 pixels and your signature measuring 300 x 80 pixels. The photograph must not exceed 100 KB and the signature must not exceed 60 KB.

• Verify all the information carefully before submitting the form, as the information entered in the online application will be used in all subsequent processes.

• After successful submission, note down the User ID, download the Applicant's Copy as a PDF along with the colour photograph, and keep a print of it.

• Pay the prescribed examination fee by SMS from any Teletalk pre-paid mobile number within 72 hours of submitting the online application.

• Keep a print copy of the application to use as a reference during the examination, and bring one copy to the practical and oral examinations.

A candidate may not apply for more than one post, and incomplete or incorrect applications will be treated as cancelled. If the Applicant's Copy contains an error, or if the photograph or signature is unclear or blurred, the candidate may submit the application again without paying the fee, but no change, amendment or modification will be accepted after the fee has been paid. The online application will not be accepted in any way until the examination fee has been paid.

Application Fee

The fee is not refundable and must be paid within 72 hours of submitting the application.

SMS Procedure for Fee Payment

In reply to the first SMS, the candidate will receive a message stating the applicable fee and a PIN number, and the fee must then be paid by sending the second SMS in the prescribed format. After payment, a confirmation message containing the User ID and password will be received.

If the User ID or password is forgotten, it can be recovered from a Teletalk pre-paid mobile number. If the User ID is known, send TAXNAR, space, Help, space, User, space and the User ID to 16222, for example TAXNAR Help USER ABCDEF. If the PIN number is known, send TAXNAR, space, Help, space, PIN, space and the PIN number to 16222, for example TAXNAR Help PIN 12345678.

Admit Card and Examination Information

Eligible candidates will be informed of the examination notice by SMS to the mobile number given in the online application, and the notice for collecting the admit card is available at taxnar.teletalk.com.bd and on the Taxes Zone-Narayanganj website at taxeszone-narayanganj.gov.bd. Candidates must keep the mobile number given in the application active at all times, as all information regarding the examination will be sent to that number by SMS.

Using the User ID and password sent by SMS, the candidate must download and print the admit card containing the roll number, the name of the post, the photograph, and the date, time and venue of the examination. The admit card must be produced at the written examination, and candidates who pass it must produce it at the practical and oral examinations. The schedule of the written, practical and oral examinations will be notified on the notice board of the Taxes Zone-Narayanganj office and on the website at taxeszone-narayanganj.gov.bd and communicated to candidates by SMS.

Documents Required at the Oral Examination

At the time of the oral examination, the original documents must be produced and one set of photocopies attested by a 9th grade gazetted officer, with the officer's name and designation mentioned, must be submitted along with two passport-size colour photographs, as follows.

• All educational qualification certificates, and the experience certificate where applicable.

• A citizenship certificate issued by the Union Parishad Chairman or Administrator, the Pourashava Mayor or Administrator, the City Corporation Mayor, Administrator or Councillor, or the Cantonment Executive Officer, showing permanent residence in the candidate's own district.

• An appropriate certificate issued by the proper authority for physically disabled and third gender candidates.

• An appropriate certificate issued by the proper authority for small ethnic group candidates.

• For candidates who are Bir Muktijoddha, the children of martyred freedom fighters or the children of Bir Muktijoddha, the freedom fighter certificate duly attested by the proper authority.

• A character certificate issued by a first class gazetted officer.

• The original National Identity Card or birth registration certificate.

• Colour print copies of the completed online application form (Applicant's Copy) and the admit card.

Important Conditions for Applicants

• Applications are invited only from permanent residents of Narayanganj and Munshiganj districts.

• The age must be between 18 and 32 years as on 01 October 2026, and an affidavit is not acceptable for age verification.

• Candidates employed in a government, semi-government or autonomous organisation must apply through the proper authority within the prescribed time and must select the "Departmental Candidate" option while filling in the application form. • If any information given in the application is proved false, or if any ineligibility arises, or if any coercion or corruption is resorted to, or if any copy or unfair means is used in the examination, the candidature will be cancelled at any stage and legal action will be taken against the candidate.

• If a candidate applies against a quota, the quota must be clearly mentioned in the application, and all existing government rules regarding quotas must be followed.

• A candidate who is not a citizen of Bangladesh, or who marries a person who is not a citizen of Bangladesh and is not committed to allegiance to Bangladesh, or who is committed to the allegiance of a foreign state, will not be eligible to apply.

• Finally selected candidates must report to the Civil Surgeon of the concerned district with the required documents, and their past career will be verified through the proper agency.

• The authority reserves the right to amend or cancel all or part of the notice, and to increase or decrease the number of posts mentioned in it.

• One candidate may not apply for more than one post.

• Any matter not mentioned in this notice will be governed by the rules issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.

• The decision of the appointing authority on any matter relating to the online application and the recruitment examination will be final.

• Any kind of lobbying will be considered as a disqualification of the candidate.
