Job Responsibilities: - Handle queries from workers and provide necessary information and guidance regarding filing cases and court procedures at the Labour Legal Aid Cell. - The selected candidate will be responsible for receiving beneficiaries in person and completing their application forms for legal services. - Assist the Advocate and the Advocate’s Clerk in court in conducting workers’ cases. - Maintain a case diary that includes the next steps, dates, and results of the cases. - Liaise between lawyers, clients, and the Sromik Ain Sohayota Cell. - Meet with the Sromik Ain Sohayota Cell, Labour Court, District Legal Aid Committee, and police stations, as required, to provide speedy remedies for workers' cases. - Make necessary referrals for legal aid or other service seekers to service-providing organizations regarding workplace, family, land, or livelihood issues. - Follow up on cases. - Communicate with clients as required. - Maintain regular communication with Panel Lawyers and Staff Lawyers regarding timely payment of bills. - Provide support in the implementation and reporting of project activities and help achieve project objectives. - Communicate with GO and NGO offices as necessary. - Assist in carrying out advocacy activities at the local and national levels for law and policy reform aimed at better protection of workers’ rights. - Prepare and preserve relevant information and documents for each applicant/case. - Compile data and prepare reports for the project. - Prepare event reports, monthly and periodic statements, and reports on activities and achievements. - Perform any other duties as and when required by the authority. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in any discipline. - Bachelor of Laws LL.B. degree will be preferred. - At least 2 years of work experience in labour issues, NGO program implementation, RMG, construction, or leather goods industry. - Experience working with a Labour Legal Aid Cell, Sromik Ain Sohayota Cell, or Labour Court.
