An important objective of creating this website is to disseminate the useful information relating to Intellectual Property (IP), so that the stakeholders can learn about our services through online. In Bangladesh, protection of industrial property comes under the purview of Ministry of Industries. On behalf of M/O Industries Department of Patents, Designs & Trademarks (DPDT) administers all the activities relating to industrial property. By integrating former "Patent Office" and "Trademarks Registry Office", DPDT started its work as a department since 2003.
